Patrick Arlot, awarded Meilleur Ouvrier de France.The Chauvigny-based instructor has just received the highest distinction in the woodturning and twisting specialty by creating an extraordinary model. It’s not his first achievement.
But this time, it’s a masterstroke by the Chauvigny instructor, who earned the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) in the woodturning and twisting specialty, model category. The ultimate accolade. He will even be received by the President of the Republic next autumn.

A meeting with a craftsman — or rather, an artist. Patrick Arlot is a woodturner based in Chauvigny, in the Vienne region. With simple pieces of boxwood or ash, he creates both functional and decorative objects. He has mastered his craft to perfection and even decided in 2021 to take part in the Meilleur Ouvrier de France competition in woodturning.
